About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced General Ledger Accountant for one of our clients CNOOC Uganda.
Job summary:
The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for preparation of financial and managerial reports for the company.
Key Roles and responsibilities
• Responsible for reviewing and consolidating reports for the non-operator blocks
• Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly Joint Interest Billing report (JIB)
• Preparation of financial and managerial reports as required by Group and other stakeholders.
• Monitor monthly expenditures on assigned projects within the annual WP&B ensuring the appropriate controls and analysis is in place.
• Provide financial service support to the key stakeholders within the Company.
• Be involved and provide support in the preparation of Company’s annual work program and budget.
• Responsible for regular and ad hoc analysis of GL accounts.
• Assist with the training and coaching of new team members.
• Work with both the Internal and external Auditors to ensure a smooth process.
• Carry out any other duties and ad hoc tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, management or the related.
• 4-6 years of related experience, at least 2 years should be in a similar position/responsibility (Management Accountant)
Knowledge:
• ACCA or CPA Certification
• Extensive knowledge of international laws on economics, commerce, financing, accounting, taxation and insurance.
• Strong knowledge of an integrated accounting package in operation in a large muti-departmental organization.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Broad knowledge of O & G operations.
• Familiar with Uganda PSA/JOA
