About This Job:
Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
Q-Sourcing Servtec Group is looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Buyer for one of our clients CNOOC Uganda.

Job summary:
The Buyer will support timely procurement of goods and services

Key Roles and responsibilities
• Assist procurement team in preparation of procurement plans, correspondence, presentations and other reports.
• Provide planning and analytical support to the Procurement Team.
• Organize and participate in bidding evaluation and negotiation on procurement contracts and complete evaluation reports.
• Analyze potential and existing purchasing contracts and give recommendations where necessary.
• Select contractors with other departments and organize the qualification examination of the contractors following Company Procurement procedures.
• Analyze, track and monitor supplier performance and procurement’s cost reduction.
• Act as liaison between end-users and suppliers to re-negotiate changes in specifications and/or terms and conditions.
• Complete the internal supplier approval processes to ensure that all suppliers meet the relevant business standards and all relevant certification and records are up to date.
• Manage suppliers and maintain good relationships to ensure cost saving and timely delivery of services.
• Facilitate/coordinate meetings with purchasing, end-users and suppliers.
• Recording and archive all the contract following company related rules.
• Conduct training on purchasing processes for user departments.
• Other duties assigned by the Manager.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Procurement, Logistics, Transportation or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years related working experience

Knowledge:
• Knowledge of purchasing policies, methods and procedures and their use.
• Knowledge of the latest business purchasing management strategies, purchasing practices, purchasing philosophy, pricing strategies, and price and cost analysis.
• Knowledge of the transportation routes, bridges, and laws of customs
