Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Geoscience with a bias in Geophysics/Geology; or Physics and Mathematics plus a Masters Degree in Petroleum Geoscience (Reservoir); or Reservoir Engineering; or a closely related field from a recognized University/Institution.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of (3) years relevant working experience as Geophysicist in seismic data acquisition, processing and interpretation in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable organization.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Geophysicist (Reservoir) for performing the following duties:-
• Participating in reservoir monitoring using seismic data;
• Carrying out 3D seismic data processing and interpretation in order to characterize the reservoir;
• Overseeing wireline logging during drilling operations and participating in the interpretation of logs;
• Participating in characterization of non-conventional reservoirs;
• Contributing geophysical data interpretation to reservoir modelling;
• Participating in preparation of promotional materials for petroleum investment;
• Participating in reserve evaluation audits and certification;
• Carrying out Amplitude Verses Offset (AVO) modelling, interpretation and analysis;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
