Job Summary:
Monitor and maintain automated programs to identify and reduce frauds, eliminate wastage of seats. Developing innovation, presenting recommendations to senior management, implementing and further developing instruments, and assisting in introducing innovations and change.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Detect Fraud. Design custom procedures to monitor abusive activity not captured by Amadeus Revenue Integrity solution through regular audits to ensure that the work processes are followed and executed, resulting in optimal usage of RM applications.
• Support RM Systems Development Manager to effectively investigate and implement recommendations provided by the internal audit team.
• Revenue protection. Analyze system logs such as Amadeus sell logs to detect patterns used by travel agents to circumvent Uganda Airlines controls and recommend ways to protect the revenue. Liaise with I.T, external vendors, and RM resources to ensure the systems are integrated most optimally.
• Identify operational needs and proactively develop viable solutions to support RM
• Analyze errors, patterns of discrepancies, signal trends, and suggest corrective actions.
• Handling customer disputes and resolving any billing issue within the airline and across GDSs
• Handle Rate Change Tool adjustments from the commercial team in Amadeus Reservation System and Traffic.
• Proactive communication with the commercial teams and the hubs teams and Amadeus Reservation System and Traffic Competence Center)
• Act as the knowledge center for the teams for Sales reporting and invoicing.
• Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, Auditing Accounting, mathematics, business, or related field with 5 years of job-related experience in the airline industry in reservations, sales, or commercial department.
• Part professional qualifications in CPA, ACCA will be an Added Advantage
• Knowledge of airline systems such as Altea inventory, PROS OD, and/or GDS.
• Knowledge/experience in Amadeus and ticketing knowledge.
• Good knowledge of Revenue Integrity Processes, applications, and technology.
• Practical experience in using computerized financial accounting and enterprisewide resource packages.
• Able to perform all tasks with great accuracy and accountability.
• Ability to work under pressure in an evolving environment for extended hours.
• Experience in a commercial and logistics environment is an added advantage.
