Job Summary:
He/she is responsible for reviewing and determining the maintenance work to be carried out on the Aircraft, when it should be carried out and how it should be carried out to ensure compliance with the Aircraft Approved Aircraft Maintenance Programme.


Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Routine Line Maintenance Planning of the fleet coordinated with the technical and operational management requirements.
• Scheduling of checks and inspections in accordance with approved maintenance programs. engineering orders and repairs/replacement/modification instructions
• Plan/schedule incorporation of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Service Information Letters, etc.
• Liaising with Stores to schedule and plan logistics, materials, tools, and equipment for aircraft maintenance.
• Tracking of MEL/CDL restricted items and ensuring, in collaboration with the Engineering & planning Manager, that they are corrected within the required time intervals.
• Ensuring planning of all required maintenance on aircraft or aircraft components to ensure that all maintenance is accomplished within the intervals specified in the approved maintenance program.
• Ensure that manpower, spares/parts, tools, equipment, maintenance facilities (hangar, if needed) and work packages/work cards are available for execution of maintenance according to the approved maintenance program.
• Liaison with the Operations Control Manager, Manager Engineering & Engineering, and the Director of Maintenance to make Aircraft required for maintenance available at the appropriate period.
• Notifying the Engineering & Planning Manager of the Aircraft or Component maintenance requirement well in advance to facilitate planning for the necessary equipment and manpower resources.
• Organise and preside over maintenance planning and maintenance review meetings on behalf of the Engineering & Planning Manager.
• Follow-up continuously the estimated downtimes of unserviceable Aircraft and take appropriate consecutive actions with the Manager Engineering & Planning to minimize impact on Operations.
• Ensure proper administration of the aircraft records section to comply with the regulatory requirements and the aircraft/equipment lessor’s requirements.
• Daily follow-up of work performed, including ascertaining, reviewing and/or checking that the appropriate personnel adequately executes all necessary work records.
• Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Engineering & Planning Manager.
• Coordination preparation of outsourced aircraft maintenance activities.
• Coordination and supervising execution of outsourced aircraft Maintenance.
• Ensures that before Aircraft returning to service, the Maintenance information software is updated.
• Submission of monthly maintenance reports to the Manager, Engineering and Planning.
• Other work as assigned by the Manager Engineering and Planning.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering (Aeronautics) from a recognized university.
• Knowledge and experience on a jet aircraft will be an added advantage.
• Equivalent working experience of at least 3 years in Aircraft maintenance planning
• Advanced Skills in the use of computer applications, MS Word, PowerPoint will be an added advantage.
• Evidence of high levels of analytical skills will be an added advantage.
