Job Details:
Windle International Uganda (WIU) is a registered International NGO whose primary mission is to promote peace and development in communities through provision and coordination of education and training for refugees and people affected by conflict. Since 1996 WIU is a leading provider of access to education for refugees in Uganda at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. In partnership with UNHCR, WIU Palorinya field office seeks to recruit suitable persons to fill the following vacant positions that exist in a number of primary schools in Palorinya refugee settlement, Obongi district.
Job Title : ECD Caregiver
Number of Positions : 03 Positions
Reports to : Head Care giver
Duty Station : Palorinya Refugee Settlement
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach basic skills of clour, shape, numbers, letter recognition and personal hygiene for children under ECD centre
• Carryout continuous assessment and evaluation of learners
• Create and maintain class records/school records
• Develop and use instructional materials
• Provide counselling and guidance to learners
• Ensure safety of learners during lessons and co-curricular activities
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the school administration.
Qualifications and Relevant Experience
• Minimum of ECD certificate or certificate in nursery teaching
• Must be registered by the ministry of education and sports
• Professional teaching experience is an added advantage
• Applicants must be highly motivated individuals willing to work and reside in Palorinya refugee settlement.
• Letter of recommendation detailing good conduct (no criminal activity including protection violations) from former employer or LC authority or RWC
