Job Details:

Kakira Sugar Limited (KSL) is a leading sugar manufacturer in Uganda. KSL boasts of two (2) sugar estates, one in Kakira - Jinja and the other in Kayunga. We seek to recruit dynamic, competent and experienced candidates to fill various vacant positions in the company.

Job title: 5 Human Resource Business Partner
Reports to: Senior Human Resource Business Partner
Overall purpose of the job.
Collaborates with designated heads of department and formulates partnerships across the human resource department to facilitate the delivery of value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business values and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• The HR Business Partner provides the day-to-day performance management guidance to the business's management personnel through coaching. Career development, counselling, and disciplinary actions.
• In this capacity, the HR Business Partner manages and resolves complex employee-relations issues
• The HR Business Partner also takes initiative and provides informal leadership and mentorship to less experienced HR professionals within the business.
• The HR Business Partner creates a people plan for the business units designated and its various sections taking into account the wider HR agenda and any specific people issues that may be existent within the business.
• Implement talent management processes for all employees in all departments within the business and provides thought-leadership on issues that may avail improved operation and performance of the business as a whole as well as the HR department.
• The HR Business Partner supports the embedding of the business's strategies at various departments and levels
• HR Business Partner provides guidance and input on workforce planning, business unit restructures, and Succession planning, ensuring that core HR processes are applied appropriately and in a legally compliant manner.
• HR Business Partner analyses trends and metrics in partnership with other HR teams in order to develop and enhance solutions, processes, and programs that address current problems and also to avoid future ones.
• The HR Business Partner assists in the measuring, validating, and testing of the effectiveness of metrics that creation of not only visually but verbally engaging reports, presentations, and proposals for department and management, stakeholders.


Analytical Skills:
A candidate for this position must be capable of gathering interpreting raw information and data, documenting findings and drawing appropriate recommendations
Interpersonal Skills:
The candidate must be a helpful, calm and professional individual and demonstrate calmness during times of uncertainty.
People Skills:
Individual who is able to gunner the trust and respect of departmental heads and management
