Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Government Valuer for performing the following duties:-
• Supporting formulation of valuation policies, legislation, standards, regulations and guidelines;
• Supporting provision of technical support, support supervision, guidance and training to land holding/management institutions, stakeholders and the general public on property valuation in the Country;
• Supporting drafting and submitting of work plans, budgets and performance reports for the Valuation Department;
• Supporting and monitoring adherence to National Valuation Practices and Standards by land management institutions;
• Supporting provision of technical support and supervision to Local Governments and other stakeholders on matters regarding or incidental to Valuation;
• Supporting development and updating of the National Valuation Register;
• Supporting in carrying out valuation activities;
• Supervising, mentoring and appraising the performance of staff of the Valuation Department;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics; or Land Management and Valuation from a recognized University / Institution.
