Job Title: Senior Warden Accounts (System Accountant)- Re-Advertised
Reports To : Management Accountant
Department : Finance and Administration
Salary Scale : Uwa 05(B)
Duty Station : Uwa Headquarters
Supervises : None
Vacancies : One (1)
Contract Duration: Four (4) Years Renewable
Age Limit : Not More Than 50 Years


Reporting to the Manager Finance - Budgeting and Reporting (Current MA), the System Accountant will support the development and implementation of the IFMS systems in UWA and will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
• Give support to all system users on a daily basis
• Liaise with system developers for system modifications where necessary, Act as the contact person where external support is needed for the proper functioning of the IFMS.
• Ensure daily system backup is done, off-site backups are running smoothly and daily. Perform periodic testing of off-site backup and give report to supervisor on a quarterly basis
• Work closely with ICT system Administrator to manage the database to avoid database over growth and system crush.
• Modify reference/static data like chart of accounts, dimensions etc. including report customizations
• Train all new users of the system and assign them appropriate permissions as guided by the user's Job Description
• Periodically close the system to disallow backward and forward posting of transactions VIII. Provide general security of the system by enforcing use of individual password.
• Team leader during system upgrade, by guiding the
• Participate in Site support activities in the PAs including system readiness, setup and business re-engineering
• Design and customize report formats to aid the users generate reports automatically from the IFMS
• Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
• Possession of an Honours Bachelor's Degree specializing in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology (IT) from a recognized University.
• Must possess Professional accounting (ACCA or CPA).
• Must possess certification in Microsoft systems technologies, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics ERPs is a must.

Experience of a minimum of four (4) years, 3 years of which must be in system accounting
