Job title: Regional Head – Central
Reporting To; General Manager - Milk Procurement and Extension Services
Job objective
Responsible for milk procurement, extension, production enhancement activities as per agreed guidelines/provisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Collection and analysis of milk data and planning for increased volumes.
• Planning, organizing and monitoring field operations at the milk collection, bulking centers and transportation to the processing plant.
• Designing motivational programmes and incentives to the dairy farmers
• Monitoring the activities of the farmers' organizations and training them on clean milk production practices.
• Conducting farmers meetings from milk catchment areas in Uganda
Minimum qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills
• Job holder must possess a Degree in Agriculture' with emphasis in Animal Husbandry or its equivalent or a Degree in Veterinary Science or a Degree in Dairy Husbandry and Milk Processing from a reputable University, with minimum of 3-5 years in the field of extension activities while organizing farmers' groups or societies, training the farmers and supervision of primary societies.
