Job Details:

Roles and responsibilities
Plan, organize, conduct and document PSS sessions for youth according to the War Child Holland methodology
• Identification of beneficiaries in close collaboration with the TeamUp facilitator and Team Leader.
• Conduct home visits to support children as required.
• Active involvement in the planning and review meetings weekly.
• Ensures active participation in monthly implementation plans of project activities.
• Ensures quality and timely delivery of beneficiary sessions.
• Mentors the facilitator regularly to achieve quality results.
• Ensures the sessions are conducted in line with the WCH methodology.
• Prepares weekly planning of PSS Sessions together with the facilitators.
• Collecting of information and data for documentation.
• Timely project activity reporting and recording lessons learnt using the WCH tools and forms
• Liaises regularly with (government) institutions and other partners in the field.
• Ensures child protection concerns are immediately reported to the Team Leader.
• Responsible and accountable for assigned project asset during project life span.
• Ensures that child safeguarding and protection procedures are adhered to.
• Submits regular and timely reports to the TL on progress towards outputs as well as challenges and successes.


Qualifications, Experiences & Skills;
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Social Work or any other relevant related field.
• Ability to write and speak English is a must
• At least 3 years of field work experience, preferably with an (i)NGO in the area of psychosocial support, child development
• Strong understanding of PSS, child protection, youth and life skills programmes.
• Good understanding of development themes such as child rights, protection gender, livelihoods and SRH.
• Good understanding of dynamics in context, politics and culture of the West Nile region and its refugee settlements.
• Willing to live in remote areas
• Know how to ride a motorbike and in possession of a valid riding licence is a MUST
• A preference is given to applicants from the West Nile/South Western Region
