JOB DETAILS:
Job Description: Technical Support Administrator
Role Purpose: Reporting to the Regional Infrastructure Specialist, the Technical Support Administrator will provide first level support to users in FINCA Network Support Uganda and Bright Life. The Technical Support Administrator will work closely with colleagues within Global IT team, to meet the requirements and SLAs determined for user and endpoint support services. .

Accountabilities
Support end user devices (desktops, laptops and mobile devices) including hardware, operating systems, network connectivity and installed applications; Computer Software installation and troubleshooting such as Microsoft office, 0365 email configuration, antivirus and any other custom software; Computer Hardware installation and troubleshooting including but not limited to servers, laptops, desktops and peripherals (printers, scanners etc.);
Scheduled periodic computer hardware maintenance and servicing first level support of all Active Directory incidents (e.g. user password resets, joining the domain, etc.); IP-Address configuration and allocation as per approved plan; Office cabled LAN and Wi-Fi configuration, expansion and troubleshooting; First line end user IT desktop support for all issues; Internet access troubleshooting and ISP outage escalations; Resolution of all information security incidents related to endpoints (e.g. antivirus remediation's, installing updates and patches, etc.).
Provide technical support for the phone system, working with colleagues within Global IT, responsible for end-user and endpoint support Services.
Other functions as assigned and required to meet the business needs


Qualifications.
• A diploma in computer science, electrical, engineering or information technology.
• A degree in information technology or related field will be an added advantage but not a
• Requirement.
• Any Microsoft certifications are an added advantage but not a requirement.
Experience
At least 2 years of experience in a technical support environment.


Knowledge and skills.
• Microsoft Windows and other common office applications.
• A good understanding of Local Area Networks as well as Wi-Fi-setup.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks;.
• Accuracy, attention to detail and awareness of deadlines.
• Hard-working self-starter with initiative, able to set own priorities.
• Ability to anticipate problems and proactively takes measures to control or minimize them.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
