JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
• Identify and under take business development activities for KCBU trade Finance proposition; manage and grow existing Trade Finance customer relationships for sustainable portfolio growth.
• To support Corporate, SME and Branch based sales team in structuring of Trade Finance deals. .

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct trainings and embed product knowledge across sales teams for easy cross-selling and appreciation of Trade products.
• Develop and maintain a reliable portfolio of Trade customers for a focused growth strategy.
• Business development – managing and retaining existing relationships and generating new business in the assigned market segments by providing Trade Finance solutions. This will include increasing the customer base, growth in trade balance sheet and off-balance sheet (agreed targets), increased facility utilization, identifying new market/developing trade opportunities and actively cross-sell other bank products and services.
• Drive engagement and partnership with key stakeholders to facilitate growth of trade finance business.
• Deliver agreed product and income targets to enhance growth of the Trade Finance proposition.
• Offer technical and product based support to sales team as part of continuous capability building to manage and grow trade business across the network.
• Constantly review the Bank’s Trade revenue collection in order to ensure all income leakages are closed.
• Identify and follow up business leads, including but not limited to Credit approval, and disbursement within agreed Service standards.
• Any other duties as may be allocated from time to time.
Daily Responsibilities
• Call visits to both existing and new to bank clients to grow both the value and volume of trade finance business for the bank.
• Regular review of trade MI, revenue and performance of trade facilities
• Identify new business opportunities for cross sale.
• Provide product based support across designated sales team to maximise trade finance wallet.
• Handle and ensure timely resolution of trade related customer complaints.

The Person:
For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria,
• University degree in Economics, International Business, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized and reputable institution.
• Professional qualifications in Trade finance is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Banking, experience in sales and business development, experience in developing and supporting business strategy is essential.
• A good understanding of Risk, Compliance policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated consistent high performance in role(s) held.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practice in Banking.
• Leadership and change management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills


Job Education Requirements: University degree in Economics


Job Experience Requirements: At least 3 years’
