WHAT THE ROLE IS ABOUT:

WHAT THE ROLE IS ABOUT:
• Contribute to the development of business strategies that are aligned to and support the achievement of EAMVL's overall goals
• Develop, implement and monitor Human Resources policies and procedures throughout EMAVL ensuring they communicate our values, mission and vision
• Work with Senior Management on creating EAMVL's learning and development plan to ensure the needs of our organisation Ensure an efficiently run Administration function that provides a safe, conducive and enabling physical environment are met through our people and result in us achieving our strategic goals
• Propose, implement and monitor employee performance systems, frameworks and procedures that will result in building a fully engaged, motivated and highly skilled workforce
• for the organization's operations to thrive and succeed


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration and Management or any other related professional course or Post Graduate Diploma from a recognized Institution.
• Master's degree in HR Management or professional membership of a certifying body (e.g. CIPD or SHRM)
• Membership to the Human Resource Managers Association of Uganda an added advantage


JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
• At least 8 years' experience working in the HR/ People function of a medium sized organisation
• At least 5 years in a managerial / Head of function role (manufacturing experience an added advantage)
• Demonstrated experience in managing an Administration Function (logistics, procurement, office services, health & safety)
• Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, self-initiative and communications skills
• Experience of acting as an HR Business Partner to internal or external customers
• Experience in developing and managing Performance Management Learning & Development and Reward & Remuneration Systems
• Demonstrable and proven experience in Talent Sourcing & Management
• Thorough knowledge of Employment laws of Uganda.
• Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Proven ability to successfully work as a team member and to build and maintain a positive work environment across the organization
